Any questions...let's help each other out

Boys and girls

Do you have any questions that you would like to ask? Post your questions here and the rest of us can help out. Remember to indicate which question and where the question is from. Also include your steps in answering the question.

Do remember to have an early night's rest. No point revising till very late cause you will feel too sleepy during the exams to concentrate. You need to be fresh and alert.

Hope you have thought about how you are going to strategize and attack the Math paper tomorrow. Plan your time well.

NEVER GIVE UP ON ANY QUETSION.

To focus: Do your deep breathing exercise before the paper starts.
Steps for deep breathing:
1) Take in slow deep breath, count to 8 while breathing in.
2) Hold your breath for about 5 count.
3) Then breath out slowly to count of 8.
4) Do about 8 deep breaths.

This will help send more oxygen to your brain and help you relax. You can do this in the middle of the paper as well when you are getting tired and losing focus.

Hope my relaxing tips help.

All the best.

Mr AJ

Practice Paper 6

Dear boys and Girls

I hope you have had enough practice papers so far to prepare you for the Math Exam.

I will not be uploading the answers for the paper as yet. Instead, I wait for all of you to post your answers online so that you can share with one another.

Section A and B - only post your answers
Section C - post your steps/ method of how you derived your answers. This will help others to understand and also help you realise the mistakes you have made.

Do not be shy about posting your answers. We are all learning so do not worry. Just post and wait to confirm your answers when others post theirs.

I will only post the Suggested Answers when I see at least 30 of you posting yours. So post your answers earlier. If everybody takes their own sweet time, then you may only get to see the answers online on Monday.

Mr AJ

All the best...

Dear Boys and Girls

I am not going to wish all of you 'Good Luck'! Instead I'm wishing for all of you to be able to do your very best for all your exams. Everyone has worked very hard this year and has made significant improvements over the year.

I know that I have been quite harsh with some of you (always highlighting your mistakes) but I hope you understand that it was all done for you to learn, Remember what you have learnt. I always focus on your values and the way you do your work and not with the answers you arrive at,

That's why i do not believe in luck for exams as that would mean you are not prepared and you would be guessing your answers like when you buy 4D. Hard work and preparation is key to good performance, not luck.

So no good luck for you but "Believe in yourself and do your best!"

Have Pride in your Performance and remember, WINNERS NEVER QUIT.

On a FINAL note...

Dear 4-6,

I hope that you will revise and recall everything that you have learnt over the past ten months, particularly the last few weeks. I firmly believe that you are prepared and ready to tackle your examination tomorrow and pass it with flying colours. I have told you all the revision tips and guidelines that will be useful to you when you do your paper tomorrow. I am sure my words will be firmly-etched in your mind, providing you have paid attention and you take the time to revise the important worksheets and sections tonight. Do sleep early because there is no point burning the midnight oil, feverishly revising. You should be well-rested and raring to 'attack' your final obstacle when I see you tomorrow. Do it with every ounce of effort in you and I am sure you will be rewarded with a deserving grade.
Good luck, do not panic and ALL THE BEST!

Rooting for you (and biting my nails in anxiety),
Ms. Priya :)
